Jack's Tire & Oil Inc. actually had its roots in Cache Valley
with a livery stable owned by William P. Bowen, father of Jack
Bowen for whom the company was later named. This livery stable
probably sold the first car tires in Cache Valley. Jack Bowen
took over from his father and owned and operated a service station
and a bulk oil and gas operation that also sold tires.
In 1960 Jack's son, J. David Bowen, became involved in passenger
and truck tire sales and thus the emphasis changed more to tire
sales rather than the oil distribution. In 1975 David Bowen
purchased the company from his father. Over the years Jack's
Tire & Oil has grown from one locations to nine full service
tire stores and three retread plants.
Our primary markets are Utah and Southern Idaho. We have four
stores in Utah: Logan, Ogden, Salt lake City and Orem. We have
four stores in Idaho: Boise, Pocatello, Idaho Falls, and Twin
Falls. Our retread plants are in Logan, Salt Lake City, and
Boise.
